Important Information Important FDNY Information

Empire Security Training Group provides test preparation and educational instruction.

Empire does not issue FDNY Certificates of Fitness or guarantee that a student will pass an FDNY examination.

Certificate eligibility, examination requirements, passing standards, and certificate issuance are determined by the New York City Fire Department (FDNY).

Certificate requirements, examination procedures, eligibility, fees, and other FDNY requirements may change. Students should review the current FDNY requirements applicable to the specific Certificate of Fitness they intend to obtain.

Practice Questions & Exam Review

A major component of the program is examination preparation.

Students will have an opportunity to review important concepts and work through practice questions to identify areas that may require additional study.

The goal is to help students enter the FDNY examination process with a stronger understanding of the material covered in their preparation course.

The FDNY Examination & Certificate

The actual Certificate of Fitness examination is administered by the FDNY, not Empire Security Training Group.

Empire's course is designed to help students prepare academically for the applicable examination. Examination format, question requirements, fees, procedures, and other FDNY requirements may change.

Completing Empire Security Training Group's preparation course does not itself result in the issuance of an FDNY Certificate of Fitness.

Students must satisfy the applicable FDNY requirements and successfully complete the required examination or process for the specific Certificate of Fitness they are seeking.

FDNY determines eligibility and controls the examination and certificate issuance process.
